milling services

CNC Milling

CNC Milling is the process of cutting and drilling raw material. Using a computer, a design is loaded onto the device in the form of a CAD drawing. From here the raw material is machined to specification, as per the design, using rotary cutters, done in varying directions on either one or several axis; removing material, at a varying speed and pressure.

The capability to machine components this way allows for the ability to create, detailed and complex, designs to an exceptionally high-quality finish in 2D or 3D forms. Due to the speed of the process, it means clients get a fast turnaround.

CNC Turning

Unlike milling where parts are machined on multiple axes, turning is a form of machining that requires a turning machine or lathe. A piece of raw material is secured to a fixture in the, computer-controlled, lathe which is then rotated at high speed. A cutting tool then feeds into the rotating piece, cutting away any unwanted material to create tubular shapes, as per the design specification.

The benefits of turning offers high tolerances and high-quality surface finishes, ideal for precision rotational components. Our high-speed CNC turning machines can rapidly machine your parts to reduce overall manufacture times.

Prototyping

A draft version of your product provides insight and allows you to explore your ideas and to show perspective clients your intention behind the overall design concept. Importantly a prototype allows you to gather feedback and make any changes in the development process early on. This means costs can be largely reduced at the beginning of the development process.

Volkswagen Ball Joint Replacements

Ball joints play a critical and important role in not only the handling and stability of the car, but safe operation of the car’s steering and suspension. The joint acts as the pivot between the wheel and the suspension.

Overtime ball joints will become worn, resulting in a loosening of the front suspension and excessive wear of tyres. In more severe cases the steering will be affected with vibration, looseness of steering and a knocking noise; potentially putting you and your vehicle at risk.

If you need replacement ball joints we currently specialize in classic Volkswagens, catering for the MKI, MKII and MKIII Golfs. To find out more information or to purchase any of the Volkswagen Golf ball joints we stock, you can visit our shop from the link below.

During normal working weekdays, all items will be dispatched within 24 hours. Excluding bank holidays and weekends.
